A nice close up photo of the cockpit of an old fighter plane. This just came out so good I had to post it!

Another old plane. Made a layer from the plane, turned it to B&W, and then added the blue sky back in. I like this effect in this photo. Kind of adds an aged effect and brings out the rivets and seams in the air plane.

I made this one on Thanksgiving afternoon. Wing of an old fighter plane. I thought it looked really cool and makes a nice desktop background.

Bandito-Rub My Belly!

One more of our dog. He's really old, blind, and has only 1 fang. But always happy.

Oleander Bud

Made from a micro shot of oleanders in my back yard. Extracted and then added a dual layer processed background. Kind of nice .
1440x900

Bandito Shakes

Made from a photo of my dog shaking it's head. Layered extraction with a processed background. Came out looking good. 1440x900

More "Rhino" photos. A nice head zoom.

Went to the zoo, it was packed, one of our unusually nice fall days in AZ.
So here are a few photos that I fixed up for wide screen wall papers. They are all 1440 x 900.
This is a "Rhino". Pretty cool looking beast, isn't it.

Trees
Also taken at Boyce Thompson Arboretum. I don't remember what Kind of three this is, I think it is a Red River Gum. Any way its a freakin huge monster of a tree. I Like trees, some thing there is just not enough of in the Mesa area.

A little bird. Taken at Boyce Thompson Arboretum. Very surprised this came out. Not very good at nature photography but I like this one.

More of the old projector.

An old movie projector. I liked the old look of it, and the logo.

A nice swirly sky with some oleander bush sticking up in it. Makes a nice desktop.

4 desktop wall papers

I just kicked out 4 wide screen desktop wall papers. Less than 2 hours work ans I think they look pretty good. Use then if you like as long as you don't make money from them.

An abstract blue desktop.

I wanted to put this up earlier, but couldn't find it. So, after having my wife dig through a ton of old stuff, here it is. Taken in 1981, in front of our barracks on Carl Shurtz Casern in Bremerhaven, Germany. This is E Company 67th Signal's infamous Multichannel Platoon.
Were ever you all are today this is dedicated to every one of you and all the others that served.

Looking in the other direction at sun set. A beautiful golden picture from the beach.

A nice tweaked photo of the small islands of the cost of San Carlos, Sonora. Brought up the definition of the shadows. Boosted the earth tones and the blues. Turned out nice. one of my favorite places.

mmmmmmmmm beach!
San Carlos, Sanora, Mexico.
Nice calm water on the Sea of Cortez.

A street shot with AZ road sign. It's almost impossible to get a good shot of the very cool streets with out a car or people in them. So i just cropped them out and let more sky into the frame.

Another view of this abandoned house. Different angle and more dessert in the background.

An old wall with stairs, kind of interesting, not much of an angle.

Once again, (my only reader) in a color and contrast tweaked photo.

One of the round windows. I didn't get the angle how I wanted it. Next time I have to take more shots of the same thing so I get what i want.

An old church, tried to give it that old post card look.

More iron work done in blue.

Tried to get that old style brick curve against the clouds. Got a bit carried away with the f\x, but still good.
More pics to come soon!

Who's that lady?

Off center subject (Iris) and tweaked for color and contrast. Much better than your average snap shot.
Another shot of iron work on old hotel. Tweaked with some copper on a second B&W layer. Makes a nice wide screen desktop.

This didn't really come out like I wanted it too. Was trying for the contrast between the plants, stucco, and sky. The arches just didn't capture the light like I wanted.
Still and OK photo.
Kind of cool old buildings, actually there are 3 of these same buildings in a row. I liked the round windows and arched doorway. The green trim and iron work look nice against the old stucco.

Porch rails on an old house. I just wanted to get the color of the old paint against the weathered wood. Tweaked it a bit to bring out the detail in the wood. Looks a lot better than I thought it would.

Window in an old abandoned house.
I just liked how this looked. The shadows and stains on old concrete. A nice contrast, I think.

Small square windows set over top of doors and display windows of and old store. Nice color and geometric pattern. Makes a nice wide screen desk top.

This just rocked, Nice lettering on old wall. Seems kind of out of place in an old wild west town, but non-the-less very bold and colorful picture.

Iron work from old hotel that burned down. Rusted metal with the old brick and wall made a pretty cool photo.

An old abandoned house hanging over the mountain side. I liked the weather worn textures of the old house set against the bright blue Arizona sky. May not be "ART" but pretty damn close.

Deterioration (things falling apart)

Photo set taken on day trip to Jerome, AZ. Lots of color and texture contrasts. An old mining town now over run by Bikers and Tourists.
Lots of Hippy shops and artsy fartsy stuff.
This is my view on this old town built on the side of a mountian.
